Solo Parachute Training Course and jump from 3200 feet for £200
What is Solo Static Line Parachute Training?
The Solo Static Line Parachute Training Course is where you jump out of our plane on your own. You take control of the parachute and land it in the landing area or Drop Zone below. The static line parachute training involves a minimum of 6 hours of basic training. After your ground training, you will be ready to jump out of our plane. You will exit the aircraft from at least 3200 feet where the parachute will open automatically.
The static line parachute course is the prerequisite for learning to skydive and is also very popular as a “one-off” parachute jump.
In the Course you will:
- Learn how the parachute equipment works. Familiarisation and fitting of the parachute harness and equipment.
- Acquaint yourself with the airfield, the landing area and any hazards that may be an issue.
- How to board the aircraft and taught emergency aircraft procedures.
- How to exit the aircraft with the correct body position, steer the parachute and land safely.
- Learn how to identify unforeseen situations, including malfunctions and how to deal with them.
After you have completed your first parachute jump, you will have a debrief with your instructor and presented with a Solo Certificate of Merit, a magazine which will inform you about our sport and a special offer for more jumps at a special rate.
The Static Line course will take a minimum of 16 jumps if you wish to qualify as an “A” License jumper (Jumping without an instructor). The Accelerated FreeFall Course will take a minimum of 18 jumps to reach “A” License. The Static Line Course is also “pay as you go”, so you can spread the costs a lot easier.
